We are so blessed to experience the extremely diverse Flora and Fauna of Malaysia. Rare plants and wildlife are found in wildlife centers, eco parks, undisturbed rain forests, and even the sides of the roads and buildings as you walk about the city! We have loved exploring many of these places as a family.

As we prepared for our move to KL, our kids ate up any wildlife documentary on Asia they could get their hands on. As they learned, they shared with us that more than 70% of the earth’s creatures are represented here in Malaysia!
.
Most of our wildlife adventures have taken place within the small habitats, wildlife centers, and aquariums around Kuala Lumpur. But some of our favorite discoveries have been the everyday unexpected surprises.
.
The wild monkey at the park. The enormous (size of your hand) snails that come out after an evening rain. Watching water droplets bead on the waterproof lily pads at the pond, so cool to see!
.
At this particular Eco Park, we enjoyed canopy views of the city through the rainforest trees, hiked the hillsides, and strolled through a fun filled nature center. The hike through the humidity was one of the most memorable parts of our trek . . . we looked like we had walked through a raincloud, ha!
