The kids had a blast this week making their own ice ball and finding ways to play with them outside.
.
This was especially welcomed since we have yet to purchase any outside playthings at the new house.
.
They were gifted a balloon, carefully untied it, filled it with water, placed it in a bowl, and off to the freezer it went!
.
We don’t love single use waste, like balloons, but at least the kids found a second life for it. You can also create more items from the balloon leftovers like rubber bands, a squirt top for a bottle, a mini tramp for a doll house . . . the list could go on! Simply use your imagination, or YouTube it, ha!
.
The kids played a game of football on the tile, then “slide the ice” (kind of like their own version of “hot potato”), and lastly, they chose to break it to smithereens . . . which was just as fun as all of the rest of it.
.
It’s mornings like these that help us see just how intuitive kids really are. Without our prompting, they came up with an idea, put it into action, utilized their resources to the fullest, and did so altogether with six kids ranging from 10 years to 2 years.
.
What amazing things have you noticed about your children this week?
