Build Me A Home – An Usborne Book by Emily Bannister & Ana Sanfelippo
.
We fell in love with this book because it is an amazing resource for unschooling! This beautiful children’s book is made up of 10 fanciful four-line poems, each imagining a different kind of home.
Where would you like to live? Do you fancy . . . An elegant palace made of ice? Perhaps a space rocket with floating beds? Maybe you’d like to live in a huge library with a roof of made of glass? There’s always castles with dragons or pirate ships with gold. A skyscraper in the sky or a submarine in the sea?
.
Join in on this journey to see homes of all shapes and sizes that seem completely unreal. Or are they?
.
On the final page the reader is shown how they too, with a little creativity, can build such extravagant places to play and learn.
.
It challenges children to take ownership of their play. Not just to imagine fanciful places, but to actually create them! Not to just read about doing amazing things, but to actually do them!
.
Build Me A Home is an encouraging, uplifting, and inspiring book that we recommend as a great family read and one to have in your very own library ?
